The normal functioning of various components of the tractor front drive axle is closely related to its proper use, maintenance, and repair. According to the introduction: During the use of the front drive axle, due to various adverse environmental factors, the connections between various components may become loose and the bearings may wear out. In addition, working substances such as lubricating oil and grease are gradually consumed, which disrupts the normal working conditions of the front axle. Therefore, maintenance technical measures such as tightening, adjusting, replacing, and adding must be taken in a timely and regular manner to maintain the normal working capacity of the components and extend the spare parts The service life of the component Therefore, the editor reminds users to carry out timely maintenance and upkeep of the tractor front drive axle according to the following instructions:
1. Adjustment of toe in
? Toe in refers to the relative distance between the front end of the two front wheels of a tractor and the rear end. During the use of the tractor, due to deformation and wear of front axle parts, tires, rims, etc., the toe-in may change. If not adjusted in a timely manner, it will accelerate the wear of the front wheel tread and affect the straight-line driving performance of the tractor. Director Qi of the assembly workshop of Shandong Lovol Transmission Co., Ltd. told the author, "The toe in value of four-wheel drive tractors is (0-5) mm
It must be noted that the toe in value is measured on the centerline of the front drive axle at the same height.
? Toe in adjustment method:
a. Align the front wheels straight forward;
b. Measure the distance between the front and rear ends of two front wheels at the same level as passing through the center of the front wheels; c. Loosen the nuts 1 on the inner side of the left and right steering links, and turn the connecting ball heads 2 on both sides of the steering cylinder to make the front end distance smaller than the rear end distance by (4-12) mm; d. Tighten the nuts 1 on the inside of the left and right steering links.
